Our second ever XL set has finally been completed and holy hecc are are proud of this one! It ended up acquiring the nickname "Big Honkin Set" while it was in our workspace and lives up to it! It really is not all that heavy, just more bulky. We have also adjusted our process for stuffing tails again so this tail is much more flexible and responsive to movement. Gave our model a little surprise!
Scales are light weight anodized aluminum from theringlord.com , all hand knit together by us! Claws are resin from Dream Vision Creations. The underbelly of the scaletail near the tip has marine vinyl hand sewn down to protect the yarn.
Patterning was made via the buyer!
This tail ended up weighing ~5 lbs. Took a total of ~26-30 hours to complete. Each gauntlet arm weighs ~2.5 lbs and takes ~15 hours to make (double that for the pair ;) ).
This was a custom commission so it is not for sale. If you are interested in getting some custom work done, see our website for information! We suggest signing up for the emailing list to receive direct notifications on openings and stock drops.
This is for indoor costume usage only. This is not armor or used for defense purposes.
