My open species known as a xrist (ZUH-rist (as in "wrist" or "mist")). In a nutshell, xrists are nocturnal, six-pawed, cat/fox/rabbit-like mammals that can either be omnivorous or herbivorous. Anyone can made xrist characters, but please tell me beforehand, and credit me for the animal!

Although if you want to make a xrist OC, you don't have to follow this, or the following description, after all, a lot of furry characters of course aren't biologically accurate (My fursona is a Bat-Eared Fox with an indigo tail for fuck's sake!). But if you want to make an accurate feral xrist character, take note.

Adult xrists are about the size of a small-to-medium-sized dog. They often live in colonies, each looking out for each other. They live for about 13-18 years in captivity, and 10-11 years in the wild. Xrists tend to live in temperate areas, and are often hunted by larger animals such as hawks and wolves, and are sometimes eaten by foxes after being killed by other predators. They often avoid being hunted by climbing trees and by camouflaging into the night. Xrist colonies tend to be more competitive with each other than with other animals. Xrists tend to be monogamous, and non-heterosexual mates are seen as 100% normal. Oftentimes xrists have 2-4 cubs, with 6 at a maximum. Xrists work together to find and get food, and "survival of the fittest" is discouraged, with old xrists staying with the colony.

Nonbinary xrist characters either have catlike American Curl ears or one flopped ear and one straight ear.
