This is Mind-blowingly gorgeous. The lighting does so much work here. Those vibrant sun touched front features and those "counter-shaded" ones in the back from the woods. And the WARM tones between the feathers to give off the impression of gold. Not to mention the blurred out but highly intricate background! That's magnificent.
And that brilliant sapphire of an eye. I love that it's gaze is calm, searching and away from the viewer. That's good visual story telling.
