Weekly Prompt: Sympathy, Necklace, Dice

This one took a little time, but I feel it's worth it.
I'm also afraid I've janked my pacing at the end (As I usually do)
The prompt that I generated was Sympathy, Necklace, Dice in that order. An obvious story appeared to me immediately, but I decided to think about it some more so I could go with something a little less obvious.
