Not all my dreams are profound. Sometimes I am just hungry when I sleep...and wishing for crinkle-cut fries.

I suppose the bet one can say is that neithe rare worldbeaters. I've had better TexMex and better Mexican. I used to like the Merida where Schirm and I used to go when I was in town, but they went out of business.
The best tacos I ever had were in South Dakota, in the Rosebud Sioux reservation. We had to wait so long I thought they had to kill the steer and grind the meat before they could serve. But they were exquisite -- crisp, oily nacho shell, fresh succlent meat, hot metled cheese... Never had better.
The best burrito I ever had, on the other hand, was in a Mexican joint -- and I do mean joint -- in Chicago. There was a pount of meat in just one of them, and it was greasy enough to lub a Buick, but man oh man was it tasty.
We don't have Dell Taco or any other franchise that I'm aware of in Toronto. Just a few sit-down TexMex restaurants I can't generally afford, and Taco Bell. So I make do.

What's a Del Taco? I don't remember them at all. But then again, I escaped from Texas about 17 years ago and have been hiding from it ever since. Here we've got real Ecuadorian rotisserie chicken, and authentic Puerto Rican made by an authentic Peurto Rican grandma. (Best tamales this side of the Appomattox.)
Taco Bell and Del Taco have separate owners. Same type of Mexican food. Del Taco also sells American burgers and crinkle fries to differentiate.
Del Taco was founded in Southern California and expanded to Northern California, The Southwest and Nevada. A former Del Taco executive opened the competing Naugles mexican food chain and then later merged with Del Taco to expand their chain locations.
Taco Bell was founded in San Diego. The original owner was named Glen Bell and he named the restaurant after himself. Yum! Brand owns Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silvers, A&W Hamburgers, and Pizza Hut. The Taco Bell meat is okay with an occasional unchewable grisly part here and there.
