Just about every N.A fur convention gallery you see that the fursuiters are wearing American Football or Ice Hockey jerseys (..or hawaiian shirts but fucks knows what that's about). Other than them being baggier than footie shirts, I suppose over there you have like oneor two teams per state rather than one every 5 miles so it's got a more urgent sense of representation for a country wide event like a con.

Don't get me started on Gaelic sports... don't like either of 'em. And as for Irish 'soccer,' the whole thing is an economical disaster waiting to happen. There's a massive english football following over here (much to the bitterness of some Irish football supporters) and anyone you ask would answer that they support Liverpool, or some other arsehole 'foreign' team, much faster than they'd name their local team.

To fully answer your question, and possibly bore you, I'm in love with Liverpool FC for many reasons, and they suit me personally. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna support Fergie's band of cunts or some of the other mercenary players our there.

I used to be when I was actually around people who knew about it, plus most my work colleagues played in pub teams so it was like a neccesity to have some knowledge. Yet as with many things when you have no-one to talk with or do said stuff with then you stop being arsed following it.

When I started supporting Liverpool, there was no such thing as the big four ;) I honestly started supporting them because my best friend did before me. Thankfully I don't regret my decision now.

I don't have any kind of football gear fetish, (diaper an football shorts is a bit WTF for me), though there is one player in particular I'd be happy to have my hands on...
