-This was NOT done by me; just commissioned. Please fav the original here“Be like snow: beautiful but cold…”"You fools! Hurry up before she catches up to us!"
A gruff, irritated voice echoed in the snow laced wind as a fatigued leader led what few men remained to safety. They had been on the run for about 25 or 30 minutes now, but it felt like longer with the snow and cold weather slowing down their movement and visibility. He thought about stopping to rest or find shelter, until he remembered her last words to him…
"But can’t we just fight her?!”
The leader’s thoughts were interrupted by one of his cohorts, one of the younger lackeys. Naïve yet eager to fight, he still had that gung-ho nature the leader once had when he first became a henchman...not anymore.
“There are six of us and only ONE of her. We can easily overpower her! Real fighters do not run." The young henchmen said. He knew he was out of line speaking to his leader that way, but did not seem to care. A few others muttered in agreement with him.
...
The leader froze in his tracks and looked at the young one, trying his best not to growl in frustration, knowing the cold air would drain what little energy he had left. Instead, he pulled out at his now broken blade, meant to withstand any and everything, and tossed it into the snow on the young man’s feet-
"So naive. Do you really think our training is enough to handle THAT woman?! Baka.
A smart warrior knows when he needs to fight, and when he needs to retreat.
If you wish to say hello to your ancestors this evening, you are welcome to stay here and fight!
I, on the other hand, wish to see the sun rise tomorrow, so I will be honorably retreating.”
Glancing down at his blood soaked garbs and hands, he frowned to himself. He had tried to protect his boss...that was his job right?
The wolfcat scoffed as she slashed her blade into his left leg. Not enough damage to kill him, but immobilized him as she beheaded his boss...right before his eyes. And he just stood there and did nothing. He tried and yet he KNEW she was going to kill his boss, no matter what. She had a look of vengeance, pain, and rage in her eyes-
…
“Sir, look! Over there!” A white shadow approached them from the west. Was it…?
It was her. A peculiar smile crossed her muzzle, her lavender eyes glowing in anticipation. Pulling out her katana, she eyed each and every one of them. Neither the snow or its brisk wind seemed to phase her. Why was she not saying anything? None of them dared move because they were not sure what would happen if they did. Finally-
"Run. Just run. And pray to whatever deity you believe in that I do not catch you and your misfit band, or I will do the same to you as I did to your boss!” The condensation from her warning engulfed the lowlifes as they tried to escape.
Chuckling in amusement, she watched them run off, ”Good.”
She made no attempt to chase after them; she wanted them to run: it was more fun that way. However, she had no intention to kill them. She had already finished off whom she was after: their boss. Now she was just playing a little game of cat and mouse with them…it made her job more interesting~
Jama suru na~But really though, haven’t these bad guys learned not to tick off Whisper yet? It is REALLY not good for your health and well-being!
The story in this commission is a continuation from the previous submission, for those of you that actually read my short stories and descriptions. I didn’t plan it that way, but my creative, writing juices were flowing, so I just decided to wing it! Haha.
After finding out the group responsible for taking out one of her dear friends and trusted clients, Whisper made sure to leave a proper message to all those involved.
And yes, Whisper does enjoy “teasing” her prey- she is part feline afterall; it is her nature. I would feel more sorry for them if they didn’t deserve it…
I want to give a HUGE thanks to the lovely artist and my friend behind this gorgeous piece vertry. Holy crap, look at this detail! Everything from the sword, fabric and details on her clothing, to her strands of hair are just perfect. It is simple but gorgeous.
I wanted to post this piece weeks ago, but my friends know how I am: I cannot let good art like this one be posted without a proper short story or description to accompany it. It would be a disservice to the artist, and to the piece to just leave it without something explaining its backstory.
I highly suggest you go watch her if you are not already- arigato~Artwork belongs to:

Well done by him.
And I try! I like posting short stories with my art so they don't seem so...boring? At least so the viewer knows why the character is the behaving a certain way.
and, thank you, my friend! ^^
It's beautiful... She' s beautiful.
I want to follow you and learn your whole story.
