My half of a trade with
Stormslegacy Its a pin of Coyote stealing fire from the gods. I tracked the progression of this piece.
The top is the wax. The next one is the piece cast and just out of the acid. The third one down is the piece with a rough sand to bring out the texture. The fourth image is my assembling the piece without solder. It was subsequently soldered. The last one is the piece with the final polish.
I loved doing this piece. I am so happy with how it came out. It also gave me an excuse to play with new tools (little rubber polishing wheels) I also had a lot of input from the "peanut gallery" on this piece. Two of my classmates and I tried it on to make sure I knew what fabric weight I should recommend (something I hadn't thought of) Turns out tee-shirt is the lightest fabric that can support it.
The coyote is cast in copper, the moon is brass and the "fire" is copper on brass with a steel wire branch.
