Another lil character interaction I wanted to do! So have some Sean :3
Also showing that Iolite's body is like an energy vacuum! Technically she can eat souls, ghosts, spirits, etc. and can absorb any magical energy or non-material beings like this demon, and they're automatically converted to the energy her engine uses, but she'll never really know that since her universe just has ALIENS. She can store an almost unlimited amount of energy and learn to direct it within her body, so feeding her high energy stuff like this would end up making DBZ-STRENGTH IOLITE
She's basically Kirby for nonphysical things and can turn that strength into physical strength. So ask her to be careful with hugs if you're a nonphysical thing

Reforming prey and those able to transfer their souls/consciousness to items and such after death are in trouble if Iolite can absorb souls. How long until she start hearing the voices of a soul she accidentally absorbed? Although on the othe rhand, that way she'd always have someone to talk to
Yeah stuff like that would have no escape once they're in the belly! And unfortunately anything she absorbs that way is just turned into energy that her engine uses and burned up in that when it needs it, so there wouldn't be any talking from 'em!
Om nom nom energies
Om nom nom energies
Now that's a skill! Iolite needs a manager, she could make a killing in this setting rather than just doin' it for free...
Though as with each new piece of information, I have new questions. What prevents her from pulling a soul in from just contact during a hug with a PHYSICAL being, since this demon was locked in a stone rather than a loose spirit, and she was simply touching it with her hand rather than it being in her stomach? And does this apply to the few macro scenarios you've drawn Iolite in, or even the various consumed small critters? Is Iolite fueled by the vengeful souls of mice who died before their time?
Also, the heck were those aliens thinking making an engine that runs on souls?! Or was it an accident...? Did they KNOW what they'd done?
Also, which DBZ strength? 1, 2, 3, 4, Red, Blue, Green, or White?

If you can do something really well by just touching something, never do it for free
And what prevents her from doing that to a living person with a soul is contact with it! The stones would have some kind of aura leaking out or wouldn't be "complete" prisons since it's just keeping them in a compact spot where they can't move. So her touching it means she's still in contact with part of them, her mechanical muscle starts soaking it up since it's another type of energy that it needs to circulate, it pulls it in faster the more if feels it can, and eventually it's soaking it up too fast for the demon to compensate for and the pull is even stronger than the charm can hold, the seal's broken, but the demon can't get away from the pull and is completely taken in! And this would happen within a second or two since the amount of pull on it would grow exponentially, the more it's able to drain the more it attempts to drain. She could learn to create a pretty intense energy vacuum that could just suck out souls/electricity/mana/etc. but that'd require there being some to practice on and a need to do so.
I suppose it'd apply to any prey that had a soul! Once they were inside there'd be nowhere for it to go since touching any part of her would mean it'd be absorbed by the cybernetic parts, and as it travels through that it's broken down and turned into an energy the engine can use and then stored in it. So since it's not specified you COULD imagine that there's souls you can't see from preys adding to the energy she gets from 'em :3
And it's all accidental! Her creators only really focused on the physical, and stuff like that probably doesn't even exist in her own universe! The alloy they use for the metal parts is pretty conductive, and the crystal bits in the center of the cyber muscles take energy from that and process it while moving it through the body, and it's all just an effort from them to make it so that the prototypes can recycle or absorb any energy they possibly can so it takes less from their own body. The ones that used the crystal-less version 1 engine exhausted themselves by overusing it, so they added that to combat it along with making better generators for them! Iolite can get tired from overusing it, but it'd just be her biological parts complaining and she can continue to strain herself as long as she'd need to with the mechanical stuff moving her while the biological parts were rested/repaired.
One of the comics I wanna do that shows an older prototype is one that gets a direct hit by a big bolt of lightning! It knocks 'em out but their body's still able to respond to things automatically, and their lungs/heart movements are taken over by the mechanical muscle while the brain resets everything to get it all back to biological movements. The energy from the bolt is spread through their body so it doesn't damage much and then circulated till it's all in the engine! And once they snap back awake their body's working fine and they don't have much damage except for their hair and clothes, since the heat/energy hitting that wasn't balanced by the body. Iolite's design is many times better than that one though, and she could take the same bolt without losing consciousness and would instinctively raise a hand toward the bolt before it hit so it wouldn't pass through her head.
Also I've never watched an episode of DBZ in my life so I have no idea, ahahahaha, just imagine her getting stronger the more she fights, and the strength increase depends on how strong the enemy is, and compounds with what she'd gotten before them, aaaand can build infinitely
She's really strong in anime universes, especially ones where magic is used by drawing it from the air or the earth or something, 'cause she'd be soakin it up at all times and would be getting stronger from just being there.

Okay, first of all, my head has gone from "fueled by vengeful souls" to "Iolite is a complicated puppet worked from the inside by a very skilled team of mice." Not sure why, but there we are.
So how about, like, a power line? I'm guessing the vacuum means that Iolite could knock out power in a decent sized region just by holding on...assuming that the adaptations made since that earlier version would allow her to handle it. I guess now I'm wondering about just how much energy she can take; that and I know next to nothing about electrical engineering, but I gotta figure that a power line is less dangerous than a bolt of lightning.
Also, if the goal is simply to get energy, could Iolite survive without food by merit of modern electricity sources? How do amps of electricity and calories compare when converted to joules of plain energy..? It's the weekend, I'm DONE with hard thinking for the week..but I'd have to guess that "eating" would be the winner between the two options because humans are well known for consuming food and less well known for biting down on batteries. That does happen, but...
Also also, note to self, do NOT let Iolite near exposed computer parts. Girl'll break the stuff with the slightest touch.

Ahhh and the mouse nomming is just to recruit or replace members, right?
If she touched a live wire in a house it'd probably trip the breaker and she wouldn't feel it, but if she grabbed onto a power line she'd feel it, though the heat generated from it would probably make her let go instinctively. BUT if she were to grab onto it and hold on, she would drain power from it and it'd be stored in the engine, but it wouldn't cause a blackout or anything 'cause it's not "pulling" from the power source, just soaking as much as it's giving and at most it'd probably make house power flicker down the line. BUUUT if she were to grab onto TWO parts of a power line that are both producing power, it'd just do the same thing but from two sources. BUUUUUT if she were to somehow lay her arm across two parts of the power line, it'd just short it out and it'd shut off power for that section of homes and the excess electricity that went through her arm would go to her engine and not cause any damage. BUUUUUUUUUT if she were to grab the output directly from a power plant with no protection she'd be able to handle what it could put out, and she technically could get charged up from that and it'd power the engine for a while while only getting really hot hands!
And most of the damage from stuff like that comes from heat or the electricity shorting out the heart and making it stop, or making muscles stay flexed so things like the lungs can't expand and the heart can't beat, so directing it all away from organs the moment the prototypes touch it helps against that. The ones that used the version 1 engine that didn't have the crystal bits would have less of a problem with that but would still be hurtin after taking a bunch of electricity like that. Early version 2 engine ones would be like the one that gets hit by lightning, they'd definitely feel it and it'd stop their heart and the force from the sudden energy spike would knock 'em out, but the mechanical muscle continues to make their heart beat normally until the brain checks it and starts sending signals back to the organic parts of the heart. Later version 2 engines channeled energy a lot better, so they'd still feel the sudden surge and it'd probably confuse them for a second or two, but their body would still function normally and the engine would be able to handle it, but it COULD explode if they were exposed to a huge amount of it over some time (like from a modern power plant). Version 3 was a huge improvement and the one that was made would have been able to take the lightning bolt and just be annoyed at the sky at how it destroyed her clothes and stuff, and could take in way more energy so she would have been able to just sit and soak up power all she wanted. And Iolite's version 4 is just an even bulkier version of that one and she could laugh off a lightning strike and take in as much electricity as she wanted! The heat generated from taking it in would be a problem for earlier versions, but the later version 2 ones and up would be resistant enough to it and the energy would be cleanly channeled through 'em so it'd really only heat up the contact spot.
And TECHNICALLY she could live off of electricity for a little while and just use the mechanical muscle to move, but her brain is mostly organic, so she'd still need at least some food to be able to function normally! And the rest of her body would need food to function enough to get food to her brain, and it'd need food to be able to process the food to get it to her brain, so she still needs to support the things that support the things that support things, and would need foods along with electricity! She can't go terminator and just tear off the weaker skin bits to just be a robot, since hers is more of a balance between 'em and it's a lot easier to just have her biological parts drive her.
And yeah don't let her press her finger into any sensitive electrical things, she can sap 'em :3

Terminator Iolite sounds terrifying. Connor wouldn't stand a chance.
Okay, I don't think I got that before, the engine really only powers the more mechanical parts of the prototype's body...which still leads to some ridiculous enhancements, such as strength, durability, stamina, all that good stuff, but it doesn't actually maintain the biological portions at all.
Side note, I don't think I mentioned the adorable shudder as Iolite absorbs the demon in this.

Well terminator Iolite would still just wants to hang out and give hugs, so maybe not too terrifying
And yeah! It's two different systems helping each other! The engine dooooes communicate with her brain though, so it'd be signalling that it just got a bunch of energy and it'd feel like she just ate a bunch! So that's a good but unexpected cute shiver :3

Right over your head, but that's excusable, since you didn't watch the series. That's one of Escanor's lines. He's pride incarnate. Someone hit him with a reverse double of his own attack, and he brushed it off that 'he felt pain' and after they told him what they did, he said 'he wouldn't expect less of his own attack'.
And he did get his soul nommed before, and it didn't go well for the girl who did it :3 .

Yeah I didn't even get through the first episode so I have no idea what happens, yo! And if it was that he was too strong to contain then it wouldn't be much of a problem, though if he's a good guy it probably wouldn't come up either way 'cause she'd also be a good guy, girl, thing
