A bit of a vent piece that evolved quite a bit from the original idea. This piece uses an old style of mixed media that I haven't done in probably 4 years. I sketched the original sketch with shading and pen lining in my notebook and scanned it in. Color and effects were linearly burned on top of the pieces to create the characteristic coloring effect. This took me around 6 to 8 hours to make.
To say the least, my life has gone from a living nightmare to hell over the last few months. I have been hurt, abused, and sexually used by people I trusted greatly. Everyday has been a struggle for me to get out of bed and keep going.
However, I always get up and keep going. No matter how much people yell at me, hurt me, or try to violate me - I will not bow to terrible people. I will keep being myself and shine as bright as I can, even if I must do so alone in the night.
