I know I'm commenting on an image that's 2 years old, but I have to say you've captured the reason why I wouldn't touch that site even with a pair of 50 foot digital Tweezers.
The heinous people and insanity that embeds that site is beyond anything I've ever seen, I'm even shocked to think that the people who act the way do on that site can even call themselves "Functional adults".

I have successfully avoided Twitter. I was on Parler until it was torpedoes and sank, but I didn't find it very useful, other than some news posters there. Mostly a lot of low information shit posting. Social media in general is a distraction and a time waster at best. At worst, it's an illustration of why general unfiltered telepathy can and will destroy a civilization because it by passes manners too effectively.
Honestly, Mr. Ruggels you couldn't of said it better yourself with your statement on Twitter. I highly agree that Twitter is indeed a time waster, but not even a fun one, I'd have much more fun playing GTA:IV than arguing about Politics with some potbelly moron I'll never meet face-to-face in real life on Twitter.
I really never got the appeal behind people who spend all hours of the day browsing that godforsaken site, now I know not all people who use Twitter are not all necessarily terrible, there are people who use the site for various reasons, For example many artists have a twitter as it's very easy for them to reach out to a larger scale audience and I can understand that.
But even as someone myself who aspires to get into drawing, I couldn't fathom using Twitter just from the melancholy that the site produces. Not to mention the amount of users who'll get their panties in a bunch all cause someone said something that they didn't like.

Apparently there is an endorphin rush for people to denounce others as wicked, and proving themselves righteous. Facebook has a similar problem with people equating self worth by the number of "friends" they have on Facebook. Unfortunately its biology, and emotion. "You cannot argue rationally with a person who came to their position from emotions." -Eric D. July.
