Last Friday I got my first 3d printer, a monoprice delta. I printed a unicorn and fox that are from thingiverse.com. I really like the fox as a test print.

Those all appear to have smooth surface finishes. Much of the 3D printed stuff I've seen (model rocket parts) have some sort of stippling and require sanding/filling to get a good smooth surface.

There are a bunch of different settings to tweak, like number of walls, wall thickness, layer thickness, etc. and all of that plays a factor in the final outcome.

What if you could do this with soap instead of polymer? A mold could be made of the initial figurine. Then you'd have a side hustle to pay for cons. Who could resist a lavender-scented Sugar Skunk soap figure or candle?

You would need to make a mold with food safe plastic like petg. Petg requires higher temps then I can work with at this time unfortunately.
