These are Handfasting cords I made for my upcoming Wedding/Handfasting this month. :)
The braided cord part is a 4 strand braid, which I had never tried until now. They are made out of thin ribbon I bought at Michaels, the shiny ribbon was around for the holidays and thought it would look neater than generic silver or white. They feature tassels at that ends with various beads and celtic charms.
The red and black one is for
silverfolfen, and the blue and purple one is for me. :3

Many congratulations to you two! I ran across this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2990773/ while browsing vcl last night.. i had to turn to my mate and ask her what handfasting was *facepaw* It sounds wonderful.. so much better then a stupid piece of paper that says the government believes your allowed to be a couple! Probably a great alternative for people like myself that cant legally marry our life partner as well
