This is a giftart for my dear friend and madly skilled artist  thetundraghost whom I've met when I first started posting art online. Which makes the friendship over 12 year old now. The patience to listen to my bullshit for so long is superhuman, that's why I want to reward 1% of it with free art, at least.

Both characters in this picture belong to her. Her arctic fox sona, and Nature's Guardian. I didn't know how tall Nature's Guardian actually is, but he gave me an ancient-ent-vibe, and I want fantasy guardians to be huge and majestic. Also because I enjoy drawing characters with extreme size differences.

The original art of Nature's Guardian was a ballpointpen drawing. I don't know what the official coloring is, this is merely my version.

The background is my first photobashing experiment where I used old photos of mine (my home Switzerland, and Redwood Forest from a very old holiday trip). I feel kinda cheap about making anything that isn't hand-drawn but as long as it looks good? I don't know? It's kinda fun too. I also heard how the Hogwarts castle is basically just a 1:1 copy of already existing cathedrals on which they just put pointy roofs, so why shouldn't I be this elegantly minimal with my backgrounds? I'm lazy with backgrounds, I only enjoy drawing characters, but backgrounds add so much atmosphere to everything~ 8I
