Greetings, and welcome to an LGR thing. Today I'm going to be sharing this classic piece of computing nostalgia, this is the desktop background that originally came preset on every Zonta Industries Image Computer, a dedicated art computer manufactured and sold by Zonta Industries in 2001 that retailed for a price of five dollars, the soul of your first born, a stick of gum, and a nude photo of yourself. (Adjusted for inflation, that's seven dollars, nine cents, your own soul, a stick and a half of gum, and a photo of yourself in just a bra) Users of this computer would remember this background fondly as the first thing they would see when they booted it up for the first time. Me personally, when I used this computer back in the day, I never even changed the background, the classic image of Madame Zonta in a field with the company's logo is just such a fitting image for the style and tone this computer went for that I just couldn't bring myself to change it. And if you too have experience with the Zonta Industries Image Computer and remember this background as fondly as I do, do please let me know, I'd be curious.
And if you enjoyed this shorter-than-I-anticipated episode of LGR, then thanks.
Let's go thrifting.
