I'll send a higher resolution version of the character to whoever gets them. You buy a character, you own it. Modify it as you'd like. Reselling is fine. Commercial use is a-ok as long as you credit me for the original design.
Suggested traits:
- being held accountable has always made The Pretender feel bad, and he's always interpreted it as an attack. he's always recognized a certain irksome logic to the idea that holding others accountable for things they actually did is justified, though. once he advanced his magic studies enough to create an avatar that could do things for him, he was delighted to have found what he convinced himself was a loophole, and he never looked back.
- since the avatar "isn't him," he doesn't see a need to show restraint with how awful he should be while controlling it. he uses it to get what he wants.
- when The Pretender is interacting with others as himself, he's incredibly nice and bends over backwards to be beyond reproach. he will go out of his way to be nothing but nice to people as his real self even if it's inconvenient to him; if his mortal enemy was defenseless and just a few feet away, he wouldn't dare touch them if he was too burnt out to use magic and hurt them as the weasel. he's just that committed to his convoluted personal rules about accountability. he'd absolutely unravel if someone caught him doing something bad as himself and got righteously upset and he had no excuse, his ego is incredibly fragile.
- he doesn't have a tragic backstory or anything, he's actually always had a lot of personal power, which unfortunately became a breeding ground for selfishness and greed.
