Welp...this is a picture of my fursona, Charlie, cosplaying as the protagonist of New Mobile Report Gundam Wing (or just MS Gundam Wing in America) Heero Yuy. Well...the piccy was also inspired by some strong feelings (partially because I was watching Armageddon at the time, too).
This scene (well...it's not an actual scene from either the series or Endless Waltz) is a reflection of what was running through Heero's mind every time he went on a mission to fight the United Earth Sphere Alliance (more specifically OZ). Namely, after a specific mission in the colonies which he completed after meeting a young girl...which ultimately took her life (as well as the life of her dog). And as one watches Endless Waltz, that specific scene plays in Heero's mind every time he has to fight, eventually declaring to Wufei in his penultimate fight that "Zero will not respond" to that question...which is a catalyst for both Gundam pilots to find peace in their hearts as the conflict with the Mariemaia Army reached its climax.
Beyond the story of Gundam...others in real life feel this kind of struggle in their hearts, especially if they have seen tragedy where the innocent become victims. Or perhaps someone has seen a different kind of tragedy and has to face that kind of horror every time they enter the fire...
I did this pic with a mix of colored pencil and marker, using the marker for clothing and pencil for everything else. This pose is my shot at attempting to mimic the Heero's pose as he plunges the detonation switch, which sets off the explosives he uses. I would have posted this in fanart, but since the character portraying Heero is Charlie...and of course you know Charlie, it's gonna be a babyfur-themed pic.
