OMG ITS SO GREAT =O i really like the effects of lighting.... i really would try to make something with the similar type of shading, with your permition of coourse its so beutifull =D

of course. use a brown(neutral) as a base, and then orange as light, and then almost true blue as your darks. the brush opacity should be at 40%
you can use any other complimentary colors that you like also, and those are:
red and green
orange and blue
yellow and violet
and also the trietary(means third, kind of) colors have complimentary colors. look at a color wheel, and any colors that are opposite each other are called 'complimentary'.

Amazing... You really went to town on this one! The colouring and shading are just superb! You should try colouring the whole rest of the body like you do the tail, sometime. I bet it'd look amazing.
