• Biography: Fauna is part of the 2nd line of ½ mermaids born to Junichiro and Palutena. Fauna is the twin sister to Shaniqua, standing as the younger of the two by at least a minute, and is a week younger than Adelicia. She shares the destiny of being part of an adventure in the Castlevania universe with her twin sister Shaniqua, but unlike her, Fauna was not too enthusiastic about it, often worrying about zombies biting her and her becoming one of them, or worse: A bride of Dracula, and so constantly made excuses to avoid training to be a vampire hunter, until she was told by her father: “If you learn how to fight to defend yourself, such fates will always be avoided”. This motivated Fauna to get into fighting greatly and she soon learned the ropes of fighting easily. However, one day, Fauna practiced climbing trees, but got stuck as one tree’s branches snapped at the top, leaving Fauna paralyzed with fear while she constantly screamed for help. Her pleas were answered when her father got her down safely, but Fauna had begun suffering from severe Acrophobia from that day forward, and it would take a while for her to conquer this fear. A process that has already gotten underway. Nonetheless, Fauna was stable enough to travel and when the time came, she went with her father into the Castlevania universes. There, she and Shaniqua were acquainted with Vampire Julie, as that was Juni’s first destination. At first, Fauna was scared when she saw her father give his neck to Julie, to which she didn’t hesitate to bite and drink his blood due to hunger. After Shaniqua allowed this herself, Fauna allowed Julie to do the same to her. During her stay, Fauna helped as much as possible to stop the plan to bring about Dracula’s revival, and at the same time: Become stronger in terms of will and eliminate her fear of heights. Fauna is as sisterly as they come and is a playful soul to boot. However, she’s also a nervous wreck on occasion, often stuttering on each syllable she says. Thanks to an experience she had, she is also a huge Acrophobic and therefore does not like to be places that’re so high, they practically touch the sky. In areas like these, she will go into worrying panic attacks that’re easily settled once she utilizes a special technique taught to her by her father, which involves visualizing a feather, and stabilizing her breathing so that it stays afloat. She likes to watch bats fly however and is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to bats. Refuses to ride Gondolas and ski lifts the most.
• Abilities: Fauna, being ½ mermaid, is able to take on her mermaid form anytime she enters the water, with the additional ability of being able to decide when the form is active or not. This is handy for when she’s showering. Like Shaniqua, Fauna is considered a prodigy, as is also the case with Golgotha. She inherited her father’s legendary skills with a blade, and her mother’s magical potential, which are evenly balanced with one another. However, she is not as strong as Shaniqua physically, yet she wields a sword with good enough skill that she can hold her own, and she still cracks a mean whip as well. As far as magic is concerned, Fauna is ranked a princess so to speak, having mastered only a few magic fields. Namely Hydromancy, Cryomancy, and Sinkomancy. She is currently studying pyromancy and aims to work on geomancy as well.
