Lex asked me what sort of dog I would like. This was done with dry-erase markers at work.

Thank you for actually providing an example of something that I have tried to drill into peoples heads for years. It is not the materials it is the skills, the knowledge, and the commitment to learn that make an artist.
I deal with this problem everyday at my day job in a art supply store. People who are convinced that if just buy the right brush. Use a certain brand of paper. Change their brand of paint all their problems will go away and the clouds will part; angel will sing and they'll instantly be able to create masterpieces and fart rainbows! Yes materials can be an important part in creating great art, but it is a distant second to real knowledge! Nice piece.

Whoa. Caught this in somebody's faves, and it stood out because this is a dead ringer for my dog, right down to the ear. He's a long haired German Shepherd, and he hurt one of his ears last year so it no longer stands up.
And seeing it full sized really gives me an appreciation for it. Dry erase marker? Seriously? Dang, maybe I've been using the wrong kind of marker.

Yep, 'cept my boy is kinda old. So he's got less brown on his face, and more gray. XD
