Hay guys,

Since I posted pics of my El Camino, I figured why not post pics of my truck as well? Although, my truck is undergoing a makeover, so I decided to post the pre-makeover pics, and I'll post the after pics once I get the truck back.

If you couldn't tell from the pics, the paint is in some pretty sorry shape; the clear coat on almost every surface flaking off, rust all over the roof, and in a few places the paint is chipping off (like on the bottom pic, next to the taillight). And then there were several dents all over. The dust all over the truck actually hides a lot of the damage.

I got the shell a few days before I dropped the truck off. I got it out of necessity, because, where I live, I can't leave anything in my truck without it being locked up, because it will be stolen. And tools are expensive. Seriously, I've spent more on my tools than I did on my truck, that being the cost of the shell, the work being done, and the initial purchase of the truck itself! (I have a lot of tools...)

I kinda wish I took some pics before I dropped the truck off at the shop, I would have been able to take better pics in better lighting, but I forgot.


Anyway, what's being done, is that all the dents are getting repaired (or most of them anyway), the rust is being sanded off and the metal treated, and the whole thing is gonna get a fresh coat of paint! I'm keeping it red, but changing it to metallic rather than flat color. I can't wait to see it, it's gonna look so pretty! ^^
It's costing me a pretty penny, but I think it'll be worth it. I'll be driving a truck that will make several people envious, (especially my coworkers and family), and if I ever decided to sell it, it'll sell for MUCH more than before. Though I doubt I'll be selling it within the next decade or two.

I'm supposed to get it back on Monday, so I'll try to get pictures of it up shortly after that to show you guys. ;3
