A later piece (2004/5, I think), trying out mix-ups of 3/4 and 4/4 in the same string. Mostly 4/4 progressive. Also experimented with 16th-note bass going up and down the fretboard. The ending of the song that fades out I decided to carry over into another song, which I'll upload later.
Tis another one I should re-write when I get my studio set up again.
Again, this is something you CAN'T produce with FL studio. Everything here consists of real instruments all played by yours truly. =P

I record into an old Yamaha AW16G. It's a simple 16-track digital audio recorder with 6 x 1/4" inputs and 2 XLR. Has its own dynamics, effects and eq which I can assign to each track pre-mixdown. I used a Zoom 505 effects pedal for most of the guitar work you hear in my gallery. That was before I got my own guitar and pedal. I mostly used my dad's stuff up until then. Drums are my own, though. =P The recorder is old enough that I can't plug it into my PC and exchange track data, which sucks. I have to burn the stereo track to a disk (has a built-in CD burner) and import it to my computer if I want to add any extra sounds to it.
Shit, dude You got some major talent here for both writing AND playing
I highly suggest getting this headbanging shit on
ZooFonics
This is SICK

Hehe, thank you so much! I just love making music and I have a blast every second that I play, and it's even better when the end result can pique the interest of others.
Dude, totally, if you want to add my stuff to your radiopage, you can have at 'er! If you could just gimme a note when it goes in circulation and gimme a link as to where, that'd kick ass. I don't ask because I wanna track my songs across the net (you and I could both agree that as soon as any work is uploaded, there's no possible way to track and monitor it, ever); but I ask because I'm really curious to see how you would use my songs in your project and possibly get to see who else would get featured alongside me.
I'm really glad you like!

There's a huge amount of other musicians that we already have, and we're working on having the stream running close to 24 hours a day by summer '10. For legal permissions and whatnot, we have a tiny little form available in
ZooFonics's journal that musicians have to note to us

dude your recording quality is not bad at all! especially for the drums :P
most of todays drums in recording studios are replaced with digital/midi drums to sound better but honestly its all about having the right mics, the right room, and right EQ and you record your drums really well!
song is badass btw nice to see some good musicians on here
btw what kind of guitar and amplifier and/or distortion pedal(s) you using?

Hey, thank you so much for the wonderful input, bud!
I think, at the time I recorded this song (which was YEARS ago, I think I was 15 or 16), I was using my dad's Fender Squire Telecaster and his Zoom 505 multi FX pedal.
I will probably end up re-recording this with my new setup: Epiphone SG (remake of the Gibson SG), Line 6 Spider 4 amp, new mic-kit for my drums, new 16-track recorder now fed into my laptop running Steinberg Cubase LE4, Yamaha 5-string bass and a few other tricks I might have up my sleeve. =P
