I was talking to him about needing excuses to draw some of my older OC's that got forgotten simply because I rarely had any ideas to drawn them. Like with Asmoe. Then we talked about how the latest pic of him he looked so much younger than in my old style and we agreed he was just very vain and had been trying out a lot of wrinkle creams to get that younger look. And then Tyrie declared that would be excuse enough to draw him again AND ordered it as a commission :roll:
Well, I'm quite proud of this pic. Different from much else I have drawn, this one actually filled out most of the paper. Mostly I draw small enough to fill a piece of paper out with 3-5 different pics. I also worked harder on this background than usual. Usually I would have used a ref for it, but this was all done from scraps since I couldn't find any good refs of dressing tables and people sitting by them. And I'm proud of the final result.
I'm usually not good at adding lots of details into a background, like the stuff on his shelves in this pic. That was a lot to me. And I'm unsure how well the mirror reflection came out, I haven't drawn something like that much before. Tried adding some blur effect to it just to see how it'd fit.
Added shading and light effects too, just for the extra.
The carpet is supposed to be a pink fluffy one. The type your feet sink down into.
