this started out as a funny idea I had while checking someone out at the register... I asked a couple of people if they were together, and the guy answered "yes, we just started dating" and I laughed and asked "OK, but are you checking out together?" the whole thing seemed funny to me, and I remembered my true OTP (ren and nora from RWBY) and figured this would apply to them XDDD

originally I was going to make this comic a RWBY chibi style thing, and draw them all super small and cute, but then I thought about it, and said "no... dorothy, you are going to TEST yourself here!!" so I drew them in my normal style

then I tried thumbnailing the comic 3 different ways and just had so much trouble deciding how to do it.... before going with this thumbnail...

but those weren't the only problems...... oh nooooo

so, in drawing them in my normal style that meant that I had to add more detail to the outfits (still not as detailed as they ACTUALLY are... but moreso than if I drew them chibi-fied) ............... I swear ren's outfit was trying to kill me.....

then there was the problem of drawing profiled faces..... in chibi form, I can get away with the simplified profile.... but... I'm trying to get away from that when drawing more normalish proportions.... so I struggled on all the times I had to draw the characters profiles.... especially since I was trying to keep their facial features diversified (ren being of asian descent and nora being caucasian)

but beyond that the only other problem was the sheer size of the comic...


and after all that.... when everything is said and done........I think I did pretty well with this comic.... and if there are any fans of RWBY watching me that like ren and nora as a couple, then I hope you enjoy this comic ^^
