Yeah man! I love rpgs, but sometimes the archetypes (Class/Race/Character/etc) feel tried.

'Do you wanna play an orc? Hope you don't mind all the martial classes and -obviously evil magic user-.'

'Elf? How about every ranged class and mage and maybe that gestalt fighter class that you play as a challenge.'

'Something beyond the fantasy standards so BUGGER OFF WITH THAT YOU GET HUMAN/ORC/DWARF/ELF/GNOME/HALFLING LIKE THE REST AND LIKE IT.'

I don't have any interested friends irl, and I never got around to looking into online table top gaming communities.

Roll20 - it's a bit to learn but it's good, and there's a few groups always looking for new players. :)
