I love your use of orange and the competition stripe, where did you ever pick that up? The first submission of yours I ever saw had that as a background... I think... anyhow, I like it a lot and if I were ever to commission you (which is an inevitability) I'd want that.

The white stripe at the bottom? I just like the look of it. I just use the square tool in photoshop in varying thicknesses.

It's all kinds of awesome, it was a big graphic design trend in the late 60s for things like surfboards and cars and such, and therefore used a lot in ads and signs that wanted to associate their products or services with the cool california lifestyle. Fender guitars even made guitars and basses with almost the exact stripe on the bodies. It really gives someone the impression you casually study they history of american classic graphic design.

I like it a lot, is what I'm saying I guess.

Well, I have always been fond of old ads, so that's likely where I picked it up.

It always makes me laugh when people spell words words wrong on purpose, like "burd" or "fewd" it cracks me up, every time. I think it's because I was such a very bad speller when I was a kid and my English teacher one time went crazy and broke chalk on the board as she screamed at me how to spell something, I forget which word, but it freaked me out.
