Year Walk - The Brook Horse
The legend of the Year Walk originates in Sweden as a vision quest to see a brief glimpse of the future. There are strict rules to follow and to stray can be deadly. One of the days of the Year Walk happens to be Christmas Eve.
So to celebrate the time, and the beautiful game of the same name that inspired all of this, lets start the Year Walk, shall we?
The Brook Horse, also known as The Neck (and related to the Kelpie) is a pale horse that lives in rivers and streams, and appears on foggy days. One of the more specific times he appears happens to land on Christmas Eve. He is said to be a tempter of children, and once someone climbs aboard the stunning horse's back they can not get off. He will then leap into the water to drown them. With every drowning his spine is said to grow longer, hence the elongated neck of the image
