as some of you might know, artist Cowledman https://www.deviantart.com/cowledman returned after a several year long hiatus and has been posting images again, I have found much inspiring about his work in the past and some of his most recent images has inspired me once more. In this case he made this image https://www.deviantart.com/cowledma.....mate-775674286 and when I saw it I enjoyed the subtext and wanted to expand on it my own way, so I made a fan edit (that he's approved me sharing) that did more then just add in text https://sta.sh/0y85rzyb3r6 and explored the idea of them being more then just dressed up for a game, this split into two images, (one I may post here) and the other being the image you see here :D

With Toph's victory over Katara, she felt her tiny inhumanly shaped body begin to stretch and grow, this was the first time she'd ever felt the difference between the tininess of being a Pawn quickly raising up to a Queen piece as her body became human shaped once more and gained a curvy figure like she had when around the time of her first marriage, a crown molded from the top of her plastic head as she felt so good towering over Katara who had the opposite effect.
Katara had never felt such a humiliating feeling as she felt her voluptuous Queen shape shrink and contract making her go from from so high and mighty to timid and small as her figure was reduced once again to a small inhuman shaped vase shaped piece as she looked up at Toph clearly enjoying her victory as she couldn't help but brag a little which annoyed Katara who was quick to remind Toph that they were immortal objects that had all of eternity to play and will get her status back one day as they are set in their places, the game resets, and they once again begin to play, completely ignoring their problems and having accepted what they are as they endlessly play for the rest of time, good game.

she has all of eternity to try and win her title back, they are slaves to their insecurities about feeling like pieces in Aang's greater success, and like so many, they dont try to over come it, they made due with it and let them become it without shame, which is noble in its own way in a real person.
