Can't believe I haven't taken any bird photos this year. Well, it has been a rollercoaster.

Anyways, these hawks (Red-Tailed Hawks if I'm correct) have been taunting me for years now. I'll see one on a power line, or a fence, as I'm driving and don't have my camera with me. One time, one was perched on the power line right outside my house, but by the time I got my camera, it was already flying away.

This one nearly did the same thing; I managed to get my camera and get back outside. A couple ravens were harassing it and as I was just putting the camera on it, it puffs up at the ravens and takes off. I barely had enough time to focus and snagged only about nine shots (yay for multiple-shot mode!) Thank God my settings were already dialed in for this kind of stuff or I would have gotten nothing at all! Still blurry, but hopefully the next time I'll finally get that beautiful still-image of it perched on something.
