The morning in the slums started off like any other, complete with waking to the ever there presence of a growling stomach aching for food it very well may or may not get for the day. A small figure dressed largely in ragged clothing and scrap leather scrounge up from various locations stirs under a tattered blanket. Sitting up from her so called bed that was little more than a pile of molding hay with the blanket to keep her warm during the steadily growing colder nights. Scratching the back of her neck, left bare from her brown hair as it was cut short in a almost boyish style, picks a few pieces of straw out. Taking her bundled possessions she keeps near her while asleep and placing them on her person she finally gets up to stretch her aching limbs. As the figure does so a mouse of black fur and a slightly shortened tail from a close call with a cleaver scampers out from the hay to scamper up a box before crawling up her offered hand to her shoulder.
“Welp, aye suppose it’s time fer breakfast eh Ink?”, with a squeak of agreement the female takes a turn towards the marketplace street stalls to find a breakfast to ‘purchase’.

Hazel, often nicknamed Mouse by her fellow residents on the streets of Menah, is a relatively short human female at 5 feet tall has a slender body build from a life living on the streets. Her 20 year old figure might actually be quite attractive if it wasn’t for the fact she often keeps her chest wrapped to disguise herself as a man. Hazel has short brown hair, cut in a short bob with long bangs often accompanied with a sling disguised as a headband, and brown eyes. Her skin is tan from living outdoors for the majority of her life, all while typically covered in a thin layer of dirt. She weighs about 110 pounds.
Her clothes are quite clearly worn and torn form years of rough living and taking bits from trash or theft in general, in some places being more rags yet still retaining enough material to still be functional. She typically wears a red tunic three quarter length shirt with a bit of leather work for her shoulders and loose sleeves that end at her elbows flared open. When not in a male disguise her bodice she wears is fitted (part of that is due to leather armor she’s scrounge off someone) and loose leather skirt almost blacksmith apron that covers her hips at a slant falling above her left knee on one side with a pair of leather pants underneath. On her forearms she wears wraps of cloth where she can hide things like bracelets she occasionally pickpockets. Her brown leather boots come up to her mid-calves, which used to have heels of some sort worn down to make it easier to run faster. Hazel carries a rather well used rapier, and dagger attached to her brown leather belt.
Ink is a normal black furred mouse with a shortened tail that Hazel has adopted as a friend that she keeps near her. She’s not able to command him or actually converse with him in such a way he can understand, but through some training has taught the little mouse some tricks. Hazel never forgets to give him a small share of even the smallest scrap she finds to eat.

Hazel "the Mouse" is my 5e DnD rogue character I play with a few friends on Thursdays. If I had to give a simple description for her I'd probably have to default to a female version of Aladdin. A street rat that steals to survive, accompanied by her pet mouse Ink instead of a monkey Abu. She doesn't remember or know her parents, as only a few years ago learned that the people she thought of as her birth parents were actually her adopted ones as her adopted mother was on her death bed telling her the truth. Left in a hard world with only the Thieves Guild for protection her path as a Rogue was set.
Together with her party members she's learning more about her and their heritage being descendants of immortals born from the Goddess Elua. Hazel is descended from the bloodline of Anael, the first of Elua's children, supposedly connected to life and light, while connecting the world to Elua's love. As they uncover more to the mystery of being Scions of Elua, Hazel only gets more questions.
