It's interesting how the female barbarian of Diablo 3 is the official canonical one with the name of Sonya. The male barbarian was once assumed to be the canonical one from Diablo 2, but he's not. Personally, I like the female barbarian better for her looking younger and fresher than the male one and having a more distinctive accent that's either Irish or Germanic.
