Four best friends, doin thangs, bein bastards, living.
Couple of characters that each had their own individual stories that I merged into one.
Kendall "Kenny" Loggins (Dog, Mutt) - A tomboy with a big heart who's loved by all. She's a shoulder to cry on, the life of the party, and loves to beat the fuck out of people who have it coming. Her father owns a flooring company and her mother is a stay at home mom. They both support her and are extremely compassionate. In this story, she's Sam's next door neighbor and best friend, always looking for ways to cheer her up and show her the brighter side of life.
Samantha "Sam" Turner (Raccoon) - A horribly depressed girl, the product of neglect and abuse from her parents that went unchecked throughout her entire upbringing. Aside from the small circle of friends she keeps, she hardly makes any friends, the few she does have annoying her to no end or taking advantage of her in some sort of way. When she settles into her little gang of friends, though, everything feels better.
Brandon and Dora de Leon (Calico Cats) - A couple of misfit ragtag kids living out of a trailer with their single mom and little brother. After a nasty divorce and a bastard child, they leave New York for their current abode in a working class neighborhood. With more bills piling up, legal fees, two kids with criminal records, the whole family is slowly becoming painfully aware of how hopeless their situation really is. With Brandon beginning to swallow his pride and take on more responsibility, he also begins to see how unprepared their mother really was to take on a family.
If this is the project I really wanna dump my focus on (and trust me, there's a lot of them), the story would probably start around their high school years (most of my projects start around there) and follows them well into adulthood, meeting all sorts of eccentric weirdos and skeevy people along the way. If I didn't have a real job and a degree plan in something other than art, I'd love to actually work on all of these projects. They're actually a lot more interesting than I let on.
