since I was planning on uploading some pics of Barky, I figured first I'd upload her ref so it wasn't just like SUDDENLY GOATDOG

She's an alien species I created, known as Timuki. Their planet is, by and large, still in a pretty heavy ice age, so the majority of the planet looks like Alaska. or Skyrim. It's very cold is what I'm saying.

Timuki have retractable "finger" tendrils, because it'd be impossible for a civilization to advance without some form of ability to manipulate fine objects. For the most part these fingers are kept retracted until needed. Timuki are also largely pescatarian but do also tend to eat just about anything they can get their teeth on. They can also tend to overheat, but only in temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Timuki fashion consists

Barky herself is a pretty laid back individual; she's very straightforward and tends to go for the obvious, easiest solution to problems. She also very much enjoys the simple pleasures in life; good food, wind in her fur, a nice warm bed, etc. For a while she worked as an expedition guide, but through a series of events ended up as a freelance bodyguard/mercenary. She likes to play dumb, making people underestimate her. But more than anything she loves to explore--it's what led her off her home planet in the first place. She's got a serious case of wanderlust, coupled with a bit of a love for adrenaline/adventure which makes her eager for the next grand excitement that comes her way.
