Thank you! It's an oldie but I still like it. It's Copic markers. They're very expensive but the Ciao ones are cheaper and that's what I have. You can get a set of say, the Cool Grey colours and that lets you do stuff like this.

Yeah, I've tried watercolour and even acrylic but it is frustrating to begin with.
