Sydney has experienced a shift in hue thanks to the blue blood that now flows through his system. This is also visible in the ooze leaking from various orifices, including from the gloves that seem to have attached themselves to his skin. His natural wings have been fully replaced by those of the parasite.
At this point, he can only infect others by forcing them to swallow a large amount of the ooze. Any other methods still require the larva or eggs from a hive.
