Yenji has quite a fondness for these small, feathered natives of Arme. Small bodies, meek personality, fragile bones, delicate appearance. The traits of these small birds often reminded him of himself, how they were a shy type of bird who fluttered away in fear of a strong wind, yet Yenji didn't look at their timid composure in pity. He saw this meek bird and how it still flew, weaving between branches and leaves with agility he'd seen no other preform. He saw a creature as delicate as he was still remain the best at their skills. He'd see them shy away from a friendly gesture, yet slowly hop closer and closer as they grew comfortable. He'd seen them fight egg-eating animals with ire and wrath before returning to coddle their shelled children, feathers plumed and warm.
Yenji saw a reflection of himself in these birds and drew confidence in it.
