From the Pokemon Tabletop United game. We underwent a trial held by Darkrai where our characters were put into increasingly devastating situations where we had to overcome impossible odds to find our breaking point. We got out of it alive, but not without some consequences. Part of the quest involved being turned into pokemon, which we got to choose because we all became something that best fit our personalities.

Part of the trial had us in a simulation that was beginning to fall apart, and we encountered a misdreavus that was glitching badly. Anything it touched was warped, and we couldn't communicate with it, so naturally everyone freaked out. Grimm, who had become a cofagrigus, had empathy for it because it was clearly in distress, and risked his life to give it a comforting hug. He BARELY passed the DC to survive unharmed, and all of us are still in a bit of awe even now. He showed courage and compassion when nobody else did.
