I kind of like to think that young shape shifters like to show off as most children do, but then I consider that good shape shifting is like a "Martial Art" which should be practiced daily to prepare and protect the body during changes.

True . . . especially when you're transforming into other kinds of animals and creature . . . one has to be aware of the different instinct and new body feature. And that goes double for form with multiple tails, limbs, and heads!

Controlling a form as super complex as a fully functional tank is tricky enough . . . but trying keeping several different trains of thought in order at once!

That's a pretty astute observation there. It gets me to thinking of an Outlaw Star fanfic in my head which I've been "Percolating" on since 1997
