Tattoo! This is all on one arm, btw, it's just so big that it took two pics to show it all off. XD
This piece took 9 hours to complete over the course of about three months and is my very first tattoo. Every flower represents an important member of my family and the whole piece was kick started this summer when we almost lost my grandmother to heart disease. The sunflower is for my extended family, the violets are for each of my Seeing Eye dogs, and the zinnia is for all of you, my friends. The middle part is the Colorado state flag symbol and the Rocky Mountains, with a hummingbird as my own personal version of the majestic flying eagle (I don't see myself as particularly majestic but I will fight anything and also scream about it XD). Can you spot the secret eye (yes there really is one)? :D A lot of thinking and research went into this and my artist did an amazing job taking the 45+ reference pics I sent her and making them into this!
The only downside is that I feel uneven now. I need a big tat on my other arm. XD (I am considering getting some small ones on that side to commemorate things like, y'know, graduating after 18 years of struggle to do so. :D)

AnimeCat and I just recently got our first tattoos too, actually - matching Mickey ears, because we’re sappy Disnerds like that. AnimeCat also just got an AWESOME phoenix tattoo, which she collaborated on designing with her tattoo artist. I’m considering a Rocket Raccoon design, but I dunno yet...

The phoenix sounds rad! It's fun collaborating with a tattoo artist like that. :) As for Rocket tat, yeah, I'd keep thinking on it just to be sure. I'm glad I never got one of Elora even though I wanted one for years. It would feel wrong to me now, whereas the one I have encompasses a lot of things that will never not mean a lot to me.
