Well would be quite pointless if they wanna wash and the shell's attached :( Be all water locked for weeks... like having water in your ears but instead your genetalia is floating around in week old shower and/or swamp water depending on where they'd gotten soggy...

I know what your trying to say. but the thing about "royal" koopa's is that They only wear shells on there back. They dont completely wrap around them like a regular troopa..or turtle. Thats kinda why i always thought they looked more decorative than part of there actual anatomy.
