Originally, I was trying to get a cat stepping out onto a porch in the morning, stretching, and very much enjoying the first rays of sunrise. After I got halfway through, I noticed there seemed a little too much of that kitty posing-self-confidence sort of feel - probably because of the way the head is turned. It seemed a lot more like a "The hero has returned! Rejoice, mortals!" sort of thing. By the time I finished, I wasn't quite sure if the guy was just stretching or accepting praise or what. I actually spent about 5 minutes trying to decide before I submitted this picture. I still can't decide, so the official decision is both, I suppose.

Regardless, I was quite satisfied with how this came out, especially since I've been having trouble drawing of late. Something about the head and neck keeps bothering me, but I can't quite put my paw on what it is.
