This is my SP wagon that I carry my 1.5 scale model train that I ride on, it's got air horns also, had it done at an auto body shop back in 1987, it's an 82 Ford LTD. Yeah I like trains a lot.

It rides real nice, since it's got a full framed chassie, gas isn't bad at all with a 302 CI V8 engine, I have air shocks in the rear for raising it when it's loaded with my SP train. I had bought it in 87 for about 4,500 bucks and had it repainted from the dark blue it had. I'ts got only 110,00 miles on it, since I dont' drive it that much.
Yeah, I sometimes would do it on a road next to a RR mainline like the IC RR in IL on route 45, the trains don't go too fast about 55-60 MPH, so it's easy to keep up with them. I also video tape them as I'm running along side, also watching out for traffic and listening to the engines working, which I really enjoy. Music to my ears. Gotta love trains to do this crazy thing, been a hobbyist since I was little.
Hi,
Well I bet that sounded really great when he blew it. I live in ILL and the Illinois RR museum in Marengo IL has some really vintage trolleys, diesels and steam locos, steam isn't running for now, but they have a NYC subway 2 car set called the Redbirds from one of the lines that runs from Manhatten to the Bronx, it's outfitted with trolley poles so it can run. looks in good condition too.
