*Wuff steps back cautiously*
Vrghr has read about that luggage. It is NOT to be trifled with!
In fact, this wuff is REALLY surprised to see that he isn't missing any important appendages after whacking upon it with his sword the other night! Luggage must have been in an extraordinarily forgiving mood!

Luggage made from Sentient Pear Wood. It's basically a trunk with a TARDIS interior, minus the time travel engine, and has lots of little human feet that carry it anywhere, usually following its owner no matter what direction they've gone. Can travel pretty much any terrain, impervious to most damage to an incredible degree, and despite being unable to speak has a temperament like a pitbull. One unit has been rumored to have killed a giant sea monster. By trampling it to death.
It's also completely burglar proof as would-be thieves tend to end up killed or swallowed, with no body left behind. You're better off making friends with the owner and convincing them to give you what you need from the Luggage. Coercion and threats are not advised as said Luggage is not stupid and would probably attack if its owner is threatened.
Far as I know, they're only found on Discworld, and are incredibly expensive. If you ever see one, don't mess with it.
I'm unsure how the Lieutenant got a hold of one, but I suspect his family bought it for him. I imagine acquiring the artifact is a story all its own.
