Well, its a german Pen and Paper system, similar to DnD, it was concieved by the german board game company Schmidt Spiele and the publisher Droemer Knaur in 1984 partially inspired by Dungeons and Dragons but also by Tunnels and Trolls. It was the sucessor of Midgard which was in 1981 the first german Roleplaying game. Tofay DSA is a mayor franchise here in Germany, there were 5 Editions of the game, novels, computergames and boardgames published in Germany.
