This is Astraea, a character I pretty much just made up on a whim!
She’s not related to my normal next gen, but I might use her in a different story I may or may not write. She’s the daughter of Celestia and Discord, born of a rather intimate encounter that was meant to just be a friends with benefits kinda thing and well.
Draconequus magic does what it wants.
After much debating, Celestia and Discord decide to just be honest with Equestria about how Discord got pregnant (draconequus reproduce magically and any member of their species can become pregnant, though he wasn’t expecting a pony to be able to reproduce with him. But oh well lol, it happened and now he has a daughter!) I haven't quite decided how Equestria reacts but I'm sure it'll be with a lot of shock.
So Celestia and Discord are able to raise Astraea together and they'll need to be very careful, because there are people out there that would use the cute lil filly to try to get to the princess, and they don't want that to happen.
But anyway, Astraea is carefree and happy, loving to bounce about and float all over, sometimes using her wings to fly and other times just levitating. Her reality warping powers aren’t as strong as Discord’s, but she’s skilled at attack-based magic, such as shooting fire, electricity, etc. Along with generating shields.
She’s pretty sporadic, often going off on wild tangents when you try to talk to her, and she’s very easily distracted. She gets better with age but she still finds it very difficult to focus on a single subject for more than a few minutes, and takes to stimming when she needs to be still. Discord ends up making her an assortment of fidget toys to help with that, so it’s not uncommon to see her taking notes with her magic while her hoof clicks away at a button or rolls a ball around.
She enjoys learning random facts and is basically an encyclopedia of trivia, mostly regarding animals and celestial objects. But really she’ll happily chat away about any new discoveries you tell her about.
So yeah that’s about all I have for her, I’m sure I’ll go into more detail once I eventually write that fic, but for now, that’s Astraea, enjoy!
