Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 6:30 and went to the living room, where I kinda lazed for a bit. At around 8ish we got grandpa up and got him ready for the day, and he seemed as if he was a little out of it again. He had trouble focusing on anything and seemed a bit sick again. He was able to eat breakfast with grandma's help, and I had some taquitos. I played come craftmines for a while, then around 10ish went to the bathroom and returned to the living room and took a nodl nap. It was a hard nap to have and I tossed and turned quite a bit, but I eventually wound up getting to sleep.
I woke up at around 12:30 when Nurse-Marie arrived, and she thought that maybe grandpa had a secondary series of smaller strokes. If so, his new state is extremely hampered, and he needs help eating every meal. I gave him his pudding, then headed out for some sushi. Before going grandma and I had a chat, and she said she just wanted to make him last until his 93rd birthday. I told her that God has a plan, and we'll find out what He wants in due time. She thanked me, and I headed out. I called mum and told her that grandpa was looking pretty rough again, and she told me she's making stained glass, got some free outer-glass parts (she ordered one size but they sent the wrong one, so they resent the part...Apparently the company is in Sarasota.), and also she was getting Thanksgiving food from Aunt Carol (she works as a cafeteria worker at the elementary school, and it was turkey day), and also they planned on getting snow and ice that afternoon.
While chatting with her I deposited my check in the bank and saw that the farmer's market was back in swing, then headed to Pubix. After hanging up I went inside (A lady outside was shouting for someone, and I thought she meant me...But nope, someone else) and got some champagne and sushi...Champagne for the mimosas. While paying, I realized my license expired back in August...Oof!
I went back to my car and ate all 3 rolls (Tempura was super yum!), then headed home. I spent some time typing in my room, then headed back to the living room around 5ish. Grandma was clearly super worried about grandpa, and truth be told, he may not make it to Christmas. We got him ready around 5:30 and grandma cooked him some scrambled eggs. She's had to spoonfeed him all his meals lately, and now he's having trouble remembering how to swallow. Not good.
I took the trash out, then took it out again when grandma reminded me it was trash day. When I was out there I kinda wanted to cry, not for my sake, but for grandma's...Despite her worries, her attitude has been as strong as anything I've ever seen...Like, it's spooky. I wanted to cry on her behalf, because certainly some vulnerability needs to be expressed.
I went inside and cleaned the kitchen after she cooked the eggs, then ate a smol bowl of dorits. After ate grandma headed back to her room (Probably to collect herself) and I tried helping him eat an oreo cookie. Oof. He couldn't remember how to bite down on solid food and was falling asleep as I fed him.
We saved that cookie for later.
I cleaned the kitchen, then nebulized him at 6:50 before heading back to my room. Once there, I played some craftmines while watching youtubes for a while, then I grabbed a shower and did a bit more craftmines and then did a bit of typing. I wanted to stay up so I could get to sleep early tomorrow, that way I could be super fresh for my long hike, so I grabbed 10 taquitoes around 9ish and wound up going to bed around 1:45.
I hope everyone has a strength-admiration day! <333
