Well I was sketching and drew up this guy here and got an idea for weaving him into my furr universe's story. Here's a lil bit about him and thusly all furrs in his world. Olen was created in a lab. The first specimen created combining human and animal DNA at this kind of level. As you can see he looks diffrent from more contemporary furr rats and mice I've done. This is because Olen was created from an animal starting point and his genes were altered. As consequence his features are diffrent. Five digits on each limb rather then four, and ears positioned more where they would be on a human. However the legs are digigrade, and the face has slightly more pronounced animal features. Anyway Olen spent much of his life being studied along with other furrs created in the same fashion as him. At the same time a retro virus was developed to alter human subjects in a similar way. Olen after years of study had eventually managed to free himself and the other furrs in the facility. During the chaos the virus was released into the environment and being that the facility was high on a mountain top the winds quickly spread it across the planet. Olen lead the furrs and as new human derived ones soon joined their ranks. Olen saw peace in his lifetime and equal rights for furrs. However he did see rising tensions between them towards the end of his life. Those tensions would later lead to humanity's downfall.
