he lives with his mother's pride
Personality: BushBaby is reserved outside of his immediate pride, which is small and close. Around his pride he is charismatic and an excellent storyteller. He is often put on watch at night due to his nocturnal nature. Around strangers he can come off as distant, he's actually very reserved with newcomers. He is always curious of them and honestly wants to learn more about them but he finds himself keeping a distance, keeping things to himself. Too shy to open up without a bit of prying.
Backstory: Bushbaby's mother was an explorer, a real bonafied explorer, she left her pride for an extended period of time and went to a far foreign land. She had never been the type to settle down or have a family, so you can imagine the pride's shock when she returned some long time later with an egg. She built a nest under the skylight in her home and let it bathe in moonlight every night, wrapping around it and keeping it warm with her body heat. You can imagine the pride's shock once again when what hatched from the egg had scales like gold encrusted sky. Bushbaby was never really treated differently after the pride quickly discovered that he acted just the same as all the other dragonets in the pride and he learned to do his part at an early age. Bushbaby knew his mother was an explorer and that staying in one place wasn't her forte, so he wasn't surprised or against it when she announced she'd be leaving again. Not until he had a vivid dream of her being attacked by foreign dragons in a very different land. The dream bothered him so much that he begged his mother to stay, but she left once again; She never came home. He still has dreams about her, she lies atop a cliff with tattered wings and smiles at the starry sky. Now-a-days he explores the savannah collecting useless or worthless trinkets and such, showing his collection to anyone willing to stay long enough to listen.
