Looking up from the cliff side, I see the moon
Shining down from the starry sky, I bask in her beauty
To the moon, we're all the same
The moon doesn't care if you're too small, tall, fat, skinny
She graces each of us with her presence
And even though her light touches us, we can not touch back
Every night I look up, and watch her come out of hiding
She brings her many children with her, to dance and play and fill the sky with light
And by the end of the night she bids me farewell, leaving me once more
But I know that she will be back the next day
And I will be lonely no more
Shining down from the starry sky, I bask in her beauty
To the moon, we're all the same
The moon doesn't care if you're too small, tall, fat, skinny
She graces each of us with her presence
And even though her light touches us, we can not touch back
Every night I look up, and watch her come out of hiding
She brings her many children with her, to dance and play and fill the sky with light
And by the end of the night she bids me farewell, leaving me once more
But I know that she will be back the next day
And I will be lonely no more
