A Really Big Deal is a comic created by myself (jayaxer) and 
a few years back for a paysite. Rights have since been released back to us, thus we are posting it here.
Writen by both of us I was mostly on backdrop duty with Kami mostly on characters, but we would swap and help each other out as needed. Lettering was 95% done by Kami!
AXER SAYS: I designed Seth (the lion character in the coveralls) and we wanted him to be a bit smaller than Axer and Kami but it worked out even moreso when the poor guy is in their alchemy shop surrounded by imposing eccentric figures that are larger than him trying to tell him what he should buy.
The shop is mapped out but it doesn't show so much within the comic. It was successful to make the alchemy shop feel odd and almost otherworldly with all the glowing potions, eerie lighting and two shopkeepers with glowing eyes as well.
KAMI SAYS: The line about the money (what is that- it's money, you use it to pay for things) was actually a direct quote between Axer and I when we were trying to figure out how much the potion would cost so we just dropped it in.

the alchemy shop looks absolutely great, the atmosphere it's just fantastic.
Axer really seems to be annoyed just by the sheer presence of Seth.
and again i feel Seth so much, i would totally dodge whatever potion would be thrown my way.
and boy the details, not only in the expressions, but i love, how the Label of the potion rips after the vial had been broken, such an small detail but add so much!

This page honestly always confused me a bit. Is there a significance to why he suddenly whips the potion at the head of an already flustered customer? For a shop that deals mostly in glass wares you would think they would be careful, so It seems intentional.
Was it just intended to add to the otherworldliness of the shop, to show how potent it is? Did Seth dodge a bullet by missing out on the first pick of a potion they had for him? It looks a bit different than the one he ends up buying in the end, so I wonder what effect it would have had.
